The Illawarra Hawks have been dealt a late blow with a key player ruled out of tonight's match with Melbourne United.
Hawks wing Daniel Grida will miss tonight's game due to a hand injury suffered in the dying stages of the side's 73-71 win over the NZ Breakers on Saturday.
Grida dislocated his left thumb in the final quarter against the Breakers after fighting for a loose ball.
After imaging and consulting medical specialists, the decision has been made to hold him out of tonight's clash with the ladder-leading United.
He will be replaced in the Hawks lineup by Wollongong local Lachlan Dent.
