Essential game day tips for Illawarra Hawks fans

Whether it is your first Hawks game or your three hundredth, a few things make the night better.

‍Wear the new jersey, wear last season's, wear whatever red you own. Hawkheads are easy to spot, and the place looks like ours when everyone commits.

i98FM Street Fleet Activation

The i98FM Street Fleet is onsite at WIN Entertainment Centre every home game with games and prizes for kids and families. It runs before the doors open, so it rewards turning up early. Build it into the plan rather than treating it as a bonus.

Activation Zone

Get in early and the concourse is half the fun. Greater Bank runs the mini hoops, and the high score sits on the machine all night waiting for someone to take it, so back yourself.

Drop Point has the vertical jump tester, where you set your reach, explode up, and find out exactly how much daylight sits between you and the roster.

Then there's the measure up wall: put your hand flat against a Hawks player's, stand under the tallest man on the list, and let the kids work out the gap. A

All of it is free and all of it is done before tip off.

Meet Tomahawk!

TomaHawk is out and about before every home game, welcoming fans into the stadium. Get the photo early in the night while he is still doing the rounds.

Kids remember the mascot long after they forget the score.

Be in your seat thirty minutes before tip.

Aim to be seated at least 30 minutes before tip off. The pregame entertainment runs before the first whistle, and the room is at its best when it fills early before the lights out intro show.

Walking in late means missing the moment the room comes alive.
