The Illawarra Hawks are thrilled to announce the signing of Jonah Antonio, one of Australia’s most dynamic shooting guards, ahead of the NBL26 season as an injury replacement player.
Antonio, 28, brings elite shooting, explosive athleticism, and rapidly improving defence to the Hawks’ backcourt. After three seasons with the Cairns Taipans, where he showcased his ability to heat up from deep and lock down top scorers, Antonio is ready for a fresh chapter in Wollongong.
Antonio recently represented Australia at the 3x3 World Cup and has been sharpening his game in NBL1 West with East Perth. Known for his ability to hit multiple threes in quick succession and take on tough defensive assignments, he adds versatility and firepower to the Hawks’ roster.
