Sam Froling Joins Levanaga Hokkaido

After a standout NBL23 season, Sam Froling has signed with Levanga Hokkaido for the NBL off season, a Japanese basketball team based in the city of Sapporro.

With 22 regular season games remaining in Japan's B League, the Illawarra big man will play a key role in ensuring Levanaga are competitive for the remainder of their season.

"Froling is expected to improving rebounding, which has been an issue for the team so far... He has been playing in the Australian league until recently, and is in a condition where he can play immediately" the Levanga Hokkaido said. 

“I'm super excited to be here in Japan playing for Levanga Hokkaido, I've heard a lot about how great Japanese basketball is, and playing in Japan has been one of my goals, so I can't wait to play!”, Froling said. 

Froling suited up for a career best season with the Hawks in NBL23 averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds as co-captain, earning  the club's MVP award in the process. 

Froling joins Lachlan Dent, William Hickey, Harry Morris, Akoldah Gak and Alex Mudronja who will continue to hone their craft in the NBL off season
