The Illawarra Hawks are pleased to announce the signing of Harry Froling for the 2021/22 NBL season.
Harry Froling has played 114 career NBL games for the Brisbane Bullets, Adelaide 36ers and Townsville Crocodiles since making his debut in 2015. He was also named NBL Rookie of the Year in 2019.
Across the 2020/21 season, Froling averaged 8 points, 4.9 rebound and 1.4 assists in a tick over 17 minutes of playing time per contest.
The 23-year-old will suit up with younger brother Sam on the Hawks roster, with the Townsville-born duo joining forces for the first time in the NBL.
Illawarra Hawks President and Co-Owner, Dorry Kordahi, said Froling's signing added more important depth to the Hawks front court.
"Harry [Froling] is another great piece and we are thrilled to have him as part of the Hawks roster for the upcoming season. He's a determined, aggressive and powerful young player and will give Brian [Goorjian] another strong option to go to throughout the season," Kordahi said.

"Illawarra fans should be excited about this signing and how the roster is coming together. It'll also be great for our supporters to see the two Froling boy's share the court in the same uniform for the first time. We all know how well Sam [Froling] played last season and we hope the addition of Harry can help elevate both boy's games to another level yet again," Kordahi said.
Illawarra Hawks Head Coach, Brian Goorjian, said the addition of Harry Froling was vital to the club's chances of success.
"We all know it's a long NBL season and after losing Cam [Bairstow] late last year we were probably a big guy short. Now we have a wealth of great options to choose from in that front court rotation. The idea of coaching both Sam and Harry so many years after coaching their father Shane [Froling] also brings a smile to my face and I can't wait to get to work with them," Goorjian said.
Harry Froling joins Sam Froling, Emmett Naar, Akoldah Gak, Dan Grida, Tyler Harvey, Isaac White, AJ Ogilvy, Duop Reath, Travis Trice and Lachlan Dent on the Illawarra Hawks 2021/22 roster.
