Delivered in partnership with Greater Bank, the Girls in the Game clinic ran for two hours and was open to girls aged 5 to 12 at every skill level, from those who had never taken a shot in a game to those already playing every weekend.
Nine in ten Illawarra families who took part in the Illawarra Hawks' July school holiday programs said they would recommend them and come back again, according to feedback collected after the Girls in the Game clinic at Shellharbour City Stadium on Tuesday 14th July and the Healthy Deadly Kids 3x3.

One parent summed the afternoon up in ten words on the feedback form:
"Enjoyed the coaches and played with other girls her age."
What the Kids Actually Loved
We ran one feedback survey across both of our July holiday programs, Girls in the Game and the Healthy Deadly Kids 3x3. The themes came back almost identical.
- Playing. Lots of it. Game time over drills.
- Playing with mates, and leaving with new ones.
- Learning something and getting to use it the same afternoon.
- Music, noise, and a room that felt relaxed.
- Being on court with other kids their own age.
In their words:
- "Playing lots of games."
- "Fast paced and lots of fun."
- "Learning the game and putting the skills to use."
The Numbers Behind the Fun
Across the two July programs
- 90% would recommend it to a friend or family member
- 90% would come again
- 85% said it was good value for money
- 4.7 out of 5 for how the day was run
Don't Miss the Next One
Girls in the Game will be back!
- October 6th at Illawarra Sports Stadium 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Girls in the Game is delivered in partnership with Greater Bank, who back this program because more girls in Illawarra basketball is worth backing.
