The Hawks family were deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Professor Justin Yerbury on 28 July 2023.
Justin was Hawks player #81 and a valuable team member during the 1995 and 1996 NBL seasons.
More recently, Justin has excelled as a leader in the research efforts against Motor Neuron Disease and has remained a valued friend of the Hawks community.
He was a loyal Hawks supporter and fierce advocate for people with disability, along with his amazing wife, Rachel, who continually fought for better access to services for all.
To his wife Rachel, and daughters Talia and Maddison, his colleagues and friends, the Hawks offer our deepest condolences on the loss of an incredible man who meant so much to all who met him.
The Hawks family is grateful for having known Justin, and he will be greatly missed by all in our community.
