With several Illawarra Hawks players taking a break in their respective NBL1 conferences, only Biwali Bayles and Mason Peatling suited up on the weekend.
Bayles was impressive on Sunday afternoon for the Gold Coast Seahawks with a 98-82 win over the Darwin Salties. Bayles was the game-leading scorer with a solid 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Catch Bayles and the Seahawks next Sunday June 24 at 7:30 pm when they visit Rip City Basketball at USC Sports Stadium.
Mason Peatling had a quieter night when he and the Knox Raiders took a dominant 96-76 win over the Nunawading Spectres on Friday night.
Peatling scored seven points on a very efficient 60% shooting along with a rebound.
The Raiders next take on the Keilor Thunder Saturday, June 17 at 8pm.
In NBL1 East, the Illawarra Hawks will head to Canberra to face the Gunners on Saturday June 17 at 7:00pm AEST. Swaka Lo Buluk’s Sydney Comets play at home against the Maitland Mustangs also on Saturday, tip off 7:30pm.
