The spirit of giving.
No child should go without receiving gifts at Christmas.
A sentiment shared by DKM Blue managing director and co-owner Dorry Kordahi and Wollongong-based charities MCCI, Scarf and Suco Services.
"This is something close to my heart that all kids should receive gifts this festive season – being a father, I appreciate the importance of seeing kids smile,” said Kordahi, who is also Illawarra Hawks co-owner and president.
"Coming from a middle-class family and working hard all my life, I’ve been fortunate enough to put myself in a position that I’m able to give back to the community and help make this Christmas the best to date."

As such, Kordahi is working closely with local charities to help him distribute 300 gifts to disadvantaged families in the region.
"I was approached by Hawks’ Tim Coenraad after doing the Pepper Money grant together, where he let me know Dorry's amazing plans and asked if we would be interested in helping," MCCI/Scarf youth development worker Steve Hancox said.
"I thought it would be a great idea to get MCCI/Scarf kids involved and jumped at the chance because we share the same passion to help others in our community.
"Part of our work at MCCI/Scarf is to help refugee’s families make a transition to living in our country easier - there’s nothing more rewarding than helping others."
The 300 gifts, which were presented from Kordahi to Hancox at the Snakepit on Tuesday, December 14, included a zippy yo-yo, PVC duck, rainbow slinky, colouring cotton bag with crayons, bubble in bottles, and Play-Doh.
Tickets for the Hawks' second home game against the South East Melbourne Phoenix on Thursday, December 23 at the WIN Entertainment Centre are available via Ticketmaster.
