Illawarra Hawks guard Emmett Naar will return to the court in tomorrow night's clash with the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena after sitting out the last two matches following a concussion.
Naar hit his head on the floor in his side's loss to the Brisbane Bullets on Wednesday night at the WIN Entertainment Centre - forcing him out of the side's back-to-back victories over the SE Melbourne Phoenix and Cairns Taipans.
"We welcome Emmett back with open arms for a tough road trip against the best two sides in this thing - Perth and Melbourne. Emmett wasn't himself after the head knock and credit to our medical staff for identitfying that and ensuring he didn't return to the court," coach Brian Goorjian said.
"Concussion is a serious issue across all sports now and thankfully our club has been a leader in ensuring the proper concussion protocols are in place for our guys to ensure their safety. We are happy to have him back, we need him entering a tough stretch of the schedule and we'll hopefully get him into that back court rotation as much as we can," Goorjian said.
Following tomorrow night's clash with the Wildcats, the Hawks will fly to Melbourne to take on Melbourne United at the State Basketball Centre on Sunday at 3pm.
