The Illawarra Hawks recently visited Shoalhaven Basketball Association for the Clontarf Foundation South Coast Gala Day.
The day included 70 participants from the South Coast Region Clontarf Academies including Kanahooka, Lake Illawarra, Moruya, Shoalhaven, Vincentia, Elizabeth Macarthur, Karabar and Airds.

Tim Coenraad, along with Wani Swaka Lo Buluk were invited to run a basketball clinic as part of the Gala Day.
“It was a privilege being invited to put on a basketball clinic for the Clontarf Foundations South Coast Gala Day. The work they do for Indigenous young men in not only the Illawarra but Australia wide is tremendous and they are making a real difference in these kids’ lives.

“The Hawks relationship with the Clontarf Foundation has grown over the last 2 years and we are looking forward to growing that relationship into the future. The Hawks are committed to making sure we recognise and acknowledge our Indigenous community in the right way, and the Clontarf Foundation is one of the organisations that are helping to guide us in that space,” Coenraad said.
