With more than 30 games to be played in the next 25 days, and 107 to round out the rest of the season plus finals, the NBL’s message couldn’t be clearer: ‘We’re All In’ on this season.
The Illawarra Hawks and fellow clubs are more determined than ever to make their mark as teams gear up for an assault on the finals.
The rest of the year is shaping to be super competitive and the championship is truly up for grabs with everyone in contention.
Like everyone in the community, the cards we’ve been dealt weren’t the ones we would have liked or expected, but we remain unshaken in our belief and commitment to give our fans and all basketball lovers the best entertainment possible – and that means putting all our chips on the table and going all in.
Regardless of what lies ahead, we promise to do whatever we can to ensure the NBL22 season is completed and continues to be one of the best yet.
They’re not about slowing down, instead ramping things up, so expect even more incredible highlights, amazing plays and rim-rocking dunks – just like Mitch Creek’s thunderous jam that was viewed by more than 10 million people around the world.

The Australian Boomers around the league are in career-best form with Melbourne United’s Matthew Dellavedova recently pouring in 33 points including seven three-pointers, and Chris Goulding hitting his 5,000th career point.
While Nathan Sobey remains one of the best scorers in the league and Duop Reath has been a force to be reckoned with in the paint.
Perth’s dynamic duo, Bryce Cotton and Vic Law, have been too hot to handle and sit in the top three in scoring, while in Cairns, Tahjere McCall has been creating huge waves with his dynamic play and infectious personality.
South East Melbourne is ready to rise to new heights with China’s 7’2 giant, Zhou Qi, causing headaches for opposition talls and in Melbourne, Jo Lual-Acuil and Caleb Agada have led the way for the reigning champs.
Sydney young-gun Xavier Cooks is reigning supreme and delivering on his huge potential and Illawarra’s Sam Froling is absolutely flying, piquing the interest of NBA scouts.
New Zealand has finally broken through and is on a roll under the diesel-powered Finn Delany, Adelaide is putting its stake in the ground showing it can beat any team with Mitch McCarron pioneering a new way forward.

Brisbane is loaded with talent, and Lamar Patterson and Robert Franks ensure they’re always in with a shot while Tasmania is now crawling with basketball fans after sharpshooter Clint Steindl and the JackJumpers took the league by swarm to start their inaugural year,
The world is truly watching with interest and likes of Hugo Besson, Ousmane Dieng, Justinian Jessup, Makur Maker, Mojave King, Tom Digbeu, and Ariel Hukporti are looking to follow in the footsteps of Josh Giddey and LaMelo Ball and make it to the NBA.
They’re just some of the reasons we’re not backing down and it’s why things have gone to the next level and will keep on rising.
The NBL knows challenges still await and perhaps some more schedule changes will be necessary, but it won’t change our determination to see it through.
