For more than a decade, the Hawks and Relativity have been teammates striving towards a common goal of helping an Illawarra-based company excel on the national stage.
During that ongoing partnership, Relativity has been a Hawks sponsor, as well as their branded video content and game day visual suppliers.
“Being partnered with the Hawks all these years has given us a platform to expose our work to the broader Illawarra business community and beyond, by showcasing that you don’t need to go out of the region to produce national production level television commercials and online videos,” Relativity managing director Gerardo Ceres said.
“Our partnership has led directly to work with clients (including other sponsors) who have seen the content we produce for the Hawks.
“Especially in this new and impressive era of the Hawks ownership, whose commitment to the region and their investment in the team both on and off the court.
“Dorry and his team have brought a new level of professionalism to the club through their business experience and made a great effort to understand the needs of the local business community and provide opportunities for businesses like us to grow in our partnership with the Hawks.”
With that in mind, Gerardo drew plenty of similarities between the two Illawarra-based businesses.
“The core team of Relativity has always strongly believed the Illawarra is a region that provides the best of both worlds in regard to work-life balance - the amenities of a big city with the pace and lifestyle of a beach community,” said Gerardo, whose business was founded in 1999.
“A lot of our work over the past 10 years has been around reshaping the narrative of the region beyond the incorrect broader national perception of us still being a small steel and mining town.
“While we are proud of that heritage - we see the Illawarra Hawks working towards the same objective of positioning the region as a place where you can compete and thrive with the big players without compromising your lifestyle.”
Hawks co-owner and president Dorry Kordahi echoed Gerardo's comments.
“Relativity has been big supporters of the Hawks for a long time, especially since I and the new ownership group took over, which is a testament to their business,” Dorry said.
"We continue to use Relativity for all our branded creative as they produce video content on a national scale and make our in-game experience as good as any around the country.
“As our visions are closely aligned, they have been big proponents in helping our foundation club reach new heights both in the Illawarra but also the wider region.
“It’s amazing to hear kind words from Gerardo and the Relativity team, proving just how big of an impact we’ve made on the Illawarra community, as we continue to work towards to goals.”
