Hawks back home for Round Four

There is no place like home, and after an indifferent first road trip of the season, a hungry Hawks outfit will be out to defend their home court in front of the Wollongong faithful.
While a win deserted us on the road double, there were several positive signs to take away from Adelaide, led by Gary Clark's second consecutive double-double, the shot-making of Wani Swaka Lo Buluk and a workman-like performance from Co-Captain Sam Froling.
The Hawks will again be without injured enforcer Mason Peatling, while Hyunjung Lee is back to full fitness after a week interrupted by illness.
If recent history is anything to go by, Hawk Nation could be in for a classic encounter.
The corresponding game last season produced one of the great spectacles of the NBL23 season. The double overtime thriller saw United record a 6-point victory before the Hawks returned the favour four games later with a 14-point result at John Cain Arena.
Opposition Watch
Melbourne United have started the season's early rounds as one of the teams to beat in NBL24.
Dean Vickerman's side was one of the more active in the off-season, with free agency delivering a mix of old and new faces to their Hoops City HQ.
Luke Travers swapped Scarborough for St. Kilda and joined Ian Clark, Tanner Krebs, Flynn Cameron, and Rob Loe as new additions.
United has welcomed (back) Matthew Dellavedova and will form one of the more explosive backcourts in the league alongside a rotation of Goulding, Ili, and Clark.
Next Star Ariel Hukporti has returned to action following a season-ending Achilles injury and leads the league in blocks per game [2] and rebounds [10] while shooting at nearly 60% from the field.
With a 4-1 record, United sit atop the NBL standings and will return to Melbourne to take on the New Zealand Breakers at home on Sunday afternoon.
