The Hawks will see off 2023 by hosting the Adelaide 36ers at WIN Entertainment Centre on New Year's Eve.
The fixture has become a club tradition in recent seasons, and we will once again take part in one of only two NYE matchups across the league.
The 5:30 pm tip-off will ensure families and entertainment seekers alike can include the matchday in their night of celebrations, with plenty of time to spare for the evening fireworks.
"New Year's Eve has become a regular on the club's home schedule, and we look forward to welcoming our members, fans, and partners to the marquee fixture again in 2023," said Hawks CEO Stu Taggart.
"We will be working with several of the city's key stakeholders and entertainment providers to elevate the NYE experience and will hope to establish the game as a must-see for the people of the Illawarra."
"Off the back of our participation in the Christmas Day games, we can now add a home New Year's Eve match to what is shaping to be an exciting NBL24 home and away draw."
The Hawks have been one of the more active clubs during the free agency period, which has seen us add talented youngsters AJ Johnson and Lachlan Olbrich and former Melbourne United forward Mason Peatling.
The trio will join the core of last season's squad, including Tyler Harvey, Sam Froling, Justin Robinson, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, William' Davo' Hickey, Dan Grida and development player Harry Morris.
