Sam Froling recently returned to the Hawks nest after a successful Boomers campaign during the FIBA window.
The dominance of the Boomers inside saw Froling finish with 18 points and 11 rebounds against Kazakhstan, securing a FIBA World Cup spot 97-50 in the recent Asian Qualifier.
Froling loves his time in the green and gold.
“It was awesome, a super fun experience. Kazakhstan was an interesting place to go to, it was good to get over there and get a win.”
“Any chance I get to go over and play for the Boomers is pretty special. They have developed a winning culture over the last few years, and I’ll be bringing the effort and all that back in with these guys,” Froling said.
Froling can’t wait to suit up again for the Boomers but is set on securing a finals spot with the Hawks.
“I want to play more, but the next window is during the NBL Finals, and I hope the Hawks are in the finals. It’s a tough one because of course I want to play for the Boomers, but I want us to be in that final’s series.”
