Everything you need to know about NBL Free Agency

Free Agency for the Hungry Jack’s NBL will begin on Friday, with several of the league’s top players set to hit the market.

Up until this point, the club has only been able to:

• Negotiate with our own players
• Exercise contract options
• Speak with players not on an NBL roster last season

‍Key Dates

• Free Agency opens: Friday, April 17, 2026
• Day 1: All team, player and mutual options must be confirmed
• Day 2: Official Free Agent list released
• From then: Clubs can sign players and build their NBL27 rosters

Hawks NBL27 Roster Snapshot

The Hawks finished NBL26 with eight contracted players:
Tyler Harvey, Sam Froling, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, Daniel Grida, Mason Peatling, Todd Blanchfield and Will “Davo” Hickey.

The following players will enter Free Agency:
JaVale McGee, QJ Peterson, Jonah Bolden, Biwali Bayles and Harry Froling.

Jackson Ball has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers in the US college system.
