The Hawks have announced the signing of Kyle Adnam as a nominated injury replacement player for the remainder of NBL24.

Following his departure in 2023 from South East Melbourne Phoenix, Adnam has secured a spot with the Illawarra Hawks in light of Dan Grida's recent injuries.

Mat Campbell, General Manager of Basketball, stated, "We are thrilled to welcome a player of Kyle's calibre to the team, especially this late in the season."

Adnam, who spent the early stages of his career as a development player for the Hawks, shared that his return to the team is a "Full circle moment and is excited to be back in the Illawarra".

Having previously played with Grida, Blanchfield and Peatling in the Australian Boomers Team, Campbell explained, "Kyle is a great locker room guy with proven NBL Experience."

In anticipation of the upcoming back-to-back games this weekend, Kyle expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Observing the team's impressive performance from a distance has been truly remarkable. I am excited to contribute wherever possible."

The announcement comes ahead of back-to-back home game clashes this coming Thursday, the 18th, against Cairns Taipans, followed closely on Saturday, the 20th, against the Adelaide 36ers.
