The fourth recipients of the Titanium Traffic Management Hawks Hero Award are Murray and Julie Harris from Food for Life.
Food for Life is a non-profit organisation that provides food relief to people living on the South Coast through affordable groceries.
With the cost of living is rising, Food for Life aim to reduce the cost of essential groceries by providing Hampers with 4-5 main meals and other necessities at a heavily discounted price.
“If people can save on the essentials like groceries, it then gives them the ability to have more money for the other essentials in life”.
Food for Life source their supplies from a major food charity in Sydney, who receive their groceries directly from manufacturers and major retail suppliers.
Much of this food, despite being fit for consumption, would have likely ended up in landfill and so Food for Life also contribute greatly to the area’s sustainability.
To find out more about how you can ensure Murray and Julie continue to provide affordable groceries for those in need through Food for life, visit their website.
