If there was ever a ringing endorsement that people believe in what the Illawarra Hawks are building on and off the court, then you need to look no further than their partnership with NGIL.
The Illawarra Quarry Transportation Specialists, who are based at Unanderra, first joined the foundation club's family at the start of the NBL22 season, through the Hawks in Business program.
"It has been surprising how involved the Hawks make you feel throughout the process of being a HIB member," NGIL director Nebojsa Stevanovic said. "The Hawks have given us opportunities to meet other businesses also involved with the club as well as creating workshops that we can use to grow our business.”
Since then, Stevanovic and his team have taken on signage, floor seats and most recently, increased their partnership by adding a courtside decal.
"NGIL has joined the Hawks to get involved within the community and help add exposure to our business because we recognise the contribution the club has made within the region and this is something our company wanted to be a part of - we could not be more impressed," Stevanovic said.
"We're grateful to be involved in this opportunity, given what the Hawks have been able to achieve over the past 18 months, showing strength within the team and the surrounding communities to come together and create the culture that is here today.”

Stevanovic even went on to draw similarities between the two proud Illawarra franchises.
"Both us and the Hawks are extremely passionate in always wanting to grow and further develop our ways of doing things in each's respective businesses," he said.
"Another similarity we share with the Hawks is also having the supportive work environment that builds teamwork and culture. Much like we do in our office, I've seen the Hawks portray teamwork on the court countless times by working together to achieve the goals they and the coaching staff set for them.”
Hawks co-owner and president Dorry Kordahi was thrilled to hear Stevanovic's comments and is confident the pair's partnership will only get stronger for years to come.
"Seeing how Nebojsa and his NGIL team's partnership with our Hawks has grown is extremely exciting to see and more proof of the positive stability and foundations were are making within the Illawarra community," Kordahi said.
"As a club, we're extremely proud of everything we've achieved and with the help of businesses like NGIL, I'm confident we can achieve even more in the coming years."
