NBL Champions Illawarra Hawks Soar to FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore

The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) today announced that reigning NBL25 Champions, the Illawarra Hawks, will proudly represent the league at the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

The global club basketball tournament is set to electrify Singapore from September 18-21, 2025 , inviting championship teams from around the world to participate.

It is the second year that the NBL Champion has participated in the event, following the Tasmania Jackjumpers inclusion in last year's tournament.

The Hawks face a formidable line-up of continental champions from around the globe. The confirmed teams so far include:

• Flamengo (Brazil) – Basketball Champions League Americas Champions
• Unicaja (Spain) – Basketball Champions League Europe Champions
• Utsunomiya Brex (Japan) – Basketball Champions League Asia Champions
• Alahli SC (Libya) – Basketball Africa League Champions
