The Illawarra Hawks are excited to highlight Campbell Petroleum Distributors' commitment to the club, as they enter their seventh straight season as a corporate partner.
Since joining the WIN Entertainment Centre-based club in 2015 as a corporate partner, the two franchises have gone from strength to strength alongside one another.
"Our long-standing partnership is a combination of supporting a local Illawarra sporting team within our community and giving our customers and employees something really exciting to go and experience," said Campbell Petroleum managing director Tim Campbell, whose business will partner through hospitality options and venue signage, while also assisting fulfil the club's gameday hydration requirements in 2021-22.
"Dorry Kordahi (Hawks co-owner and president) and his team have been extremely keen to invest in the club, which is an aspect that has been lacking for a number of years - making for a much more professional experience across the board.
"That's from both an entertainment perspective as a fan but also attracting the calibre of players on our roster currently, showing they've got the support at all levels to provide the Illawarra community with the competitive team they deserve.”
Kordahi echoed Campbell's thoughts and was thrilled to have the Port Kembla-based company back on board for the NBL22 season.
“The Campbell Petroleum Distributors team have long supported the Hawks and basketball in this region, so it’s fitting we partner up once again for what is shaping to be the biggest season in the club’s history,” Illawarra co-owner and president Dorry Kordahi said.
“They are one of our stable corporate partners and having them back on board for NBL22 is a massive endorsement of what we’re trying to achieve as a franchise.
"I know Tim and his team are huge Hawks fans and passionate advocates for the Illawarra community - two qualities we love and admire."
