Davo Hickey selected in 14-man Boomers squad

The countdown is on. With just weeks to go until the FIBA Asia Cup tips off, the Boomers are kicking preparations into high gear.

They’ll face the University of Colorado on the Gold Coast later this month, offering fans a first glimpse at the talent bound for Saudi Arabia.

It will also mark the first game in charge for new coach and former Hawk Adam Caporn.

“We’ll have a good mix of experienced Boomers and players getting their first taste of international tournament play at this level, so we expect the learning curve to be steep and will embrace the opportunity to also grow as a group,” Caporn said.
