The Illawarra Hawks are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Jonah Bolden for the upcoming NBL26 season.
At 29 years old, Bolden brings a wealth of experience and international pedigree. He is the son of NBL legend Bruce Bolden, a championship-winning player who enjoyed a 17-year career in the league.
Standing at 6-foot-10 (2.08m), Jonah has played professionally across four continents, including stints in Serbia and Israel. He was selected as the 36th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and more recently competed in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), where fellow Hawks recruit JaVale McGee is also playing.
Quote from Mat Campbell, General Manager of Basketball:
"Jonah is a world-class talent with a unique blend of size, skill, and experience. His journey through elite leagues around the globe speaks volumes about his adaptability and competitiveness. We’re excited to welcome him to the Illawarra Hawks and believe he’ll be a key piece in our push for success this season."
