The NBL24 Illawarra Hawks playing squad featured in games across Saturday and Sunday in a jam-packed NBL1 weekend.

Tipping off at The Snakepit on Saturday night, the NBL1 East Illawarra Hawks couldn’t overcome the 4th placed Sutherland Sharks, with the final score 80-92.

Harry Morris produced 26 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for Illawarra with Phillip Dopud producing 12 points and 11 boards, Frederick Webb 10 points and six assists, Tim Coenraad 10 points and seven rebounds, and Noah Pagotto nine points and six boards.

The Hawks will feature in a double header this coming weekend, first up at home against the Bankstown Bruins on Saturday 1 July, tipping off at 7pm. Then on Sunday 2 July, they hit the road to play the Penrith Panthers, tipping off at 3pm.

In NBL1 South, Mason Peatling’s Knox Raiders maintained their top two position in the NBL1 South by beating the Eltham Wildcats 103-67 on Saturday night. As a result of the win, Knox improves to a 13-4 record with five consecutive wins.

Peatling scored 14 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

Knox Raiders will return home on Saturday 1 July to face North West Tasmania, tip off 8pm.

Lachlan Olbrich continued his run of dominant performances for the West Adelaide Bearcats in NBL1 Central. The Bearcats defeated the North Adelaide Rockets 89-78, with Olbrich scoring 19 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.

The Bearcats hit the road against the Forestville Eagles on Saturday 1 July for a top of the table clash, tipping off at 6:15pm ACST.

Biwali Bayles featured in a double header weekend for the North Gold Coast Seahawks. Bayles scored 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the Seahawks loss to USC Rip City, 81-101. The team then returned home on Sunday, going down 82-104 against the Southern Districts Spartans.

The Seahawks take on ladder leaders the Gold Coast Rollers on Saturday 1 July, tipping off at 7pm.

Wani Swaka Lo Buluk contributed 22 points, three rebounds and three assists in the Sydney Comets win over the Central Coast Crusaders on Sunday afternoon, winning 85-83.

The Comets will take on Newcastle Falcons at home on Saturday 1 July, tipping off at 5:30pm.
