Following consultation with multiple medical specialists, the Illawarra Hawks and Mason Peatling have made the decision to proceed with surgery to address his foot injury.
While the procedure will rule Mason out for the remainder of the NBL27 season, it is expected to provide the best outcome for his long-term health and a full recovery.
Mason will remain with the club throughout his rehabilitation, working closely with the Hawks’ medical and performance teams as he prepares for his return to basketball.
