Illawarra Hawks NBL1 Round 10 Recap
Tim Coenraad was once again solid for the NBL1 Illawarra Hawks, playing back-to-back games with a win and a loss, while playing with a reduced NBL1 roster.
Saturday’s game saw the Illawarra Hawks secure a convincing win against the Sydney Comets, scoring 77 to 55 points. Coenraad scored 14 points on a respectable 50% efficiency, along with four rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal.
Noah Pagotto was very impressive with a blitzing offensive performance, scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds complimented with a block.
On Sunday afternoon, the Hawks faced a tough opponent in the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence on home court, where the Men’s team fought valiantly till the end in a 100-106 point loss.
All eyes were on Tim Coenraad, who was on fire, scoring a season-high 35 points along with nine rebounds, five assists, a block, and a steal.
The Women’s team fought hard once again but went down in both games on the weekend.
Ella Dent was a standout against the Comets on Saturday night with 21 points as well as four rebounds, seven assists, and a steal.
