Gary Clark has been announced as the Illawarra Hawks NBL24 MVP.
After his first regular season with the Illawarra Hawks, Gary Clark has made his mark, taking home the club’s most valuable player award for the 2023/2024 NBL season.
The award caps off a standout individual season for Clark playing in all 28 home and away fixtures and averaging 16.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.?
Hawks Coach Justin Tatum said Clark "has been consistent all year and is winning an award he definitely deserves. I take my hat off to him and hopefully he can win many more up under the Hawks”
The Hawks power forward was also named members choice for the NBL24 season. Finishing off the regular season with three prestigious awards, having been awarded a position in the All-NBL First Team at Monday's NBL function in Melbourne.
Wani Swaka Lo Buluk was recognised as the best defensive player for the second consecutive year.
With Coach Tatum sharing "Wani Swaka Lo Buluk is the best Defensive player on our team. He is well deserved for this awar and I am very proud of him.”
Dan Grida also took home both the Players’ Player and Community Award for the 2024 Hawks MVP Ball.
The Hawks now return focus to the NBL final series, kicking off the championship pursuit against the Tasmanian JackJumpers on February 28th.
