The Hawks extended their win streak to four on Friday night in a double-overtime thriller against the JackJumpers.
After starting wing Wani Swaka Lo Buluk withdrew due to illness, the Hawks travelled to Tassie with just nine fresh bodies.
Although being a man down, Justin Tatum's men were on from the outset and used their trademark toughness on defence and a methodical inside-out attack on the offensive end to take a 1-point lead into the half.
Despite a late flurry from Milton Doyle, the Hawks held on through two extra periods and finished Friday night fourth on the competition standings.
The starting five of Harvey, Froling, Clark, Lee, and Robinson combined for 100 of the side's 108 points, while Todd Blanchfield and Mason Peatling played crucial roles off the bench when called on.
While Hawk Nation revelled in the road win, the side's attention quickly shifted to the Bullets and the Sunday afternoon matchup against Nathan Sobey and co.
The last meeting between these two sides produced a one-point thriller, with the Hawks having an attempt in the final seconds to win the game before eventually going down 78-77.
Look for a team effort to be applied to the offensive and defensive rebounding in the hope of nullifying the bigs of Brisbane, and for the offensive load to continue to be shared up and down the roster.
Opposition Watch
The Bullets have used a three-game win streak to propel themselves back into play-in contention.
First-year head coach Justin Schuller has reignited the Bullets season in recent weeks behind the scoring prowess of Nathan Sobey and the introduction of Sam McDaniel and Tyrell Harrison into the starting line-up.
The Bullets boast one of the more dynamic benches in the league, with the likes of Isaac White, Mitch Norton, Aaron Baynes, and Chris Smith all playing their part in the second unit. The latter closed the win against the JackJumpers with a buzzer-beating three Thursday night at Nissan Arena.
Next Star Rocco Zikarsky continues to make his presence felt in his rookie year and expect mid-season recruit Casey Prather to ramp up his minutes and influence in today's match.
