The Illawarra Hawks are proud to welcome back Biwali Bayles, who rejoins the squad to lock in our last Australian roster spot on a two year deal.
Bayles, 23, returns to the Hawks after a strong showing in NBL24, where he made 21 appearances and showcased his defensive grit and playmaking ability. A former Sydney Kings champion and standout at the University of Hawaii, Bayles has continued to elevate his game—most recently starring for the Sydney Comets in NBL1, where he averaged an impressive 28.6 points, 6.1 assists, and 7.9 rebounds per game.
He also gained international experience this year, representing the New York Knicks in the NBA Summer League and earning All-Domestic Team honours in the Swiss League in 2025.
Bayles joins a deep guard rotation featuring Tyler Harvey, Jaquori McLaughlin, and William Hickey, and will bring energy, leadership, and versatility to the backcourt..
