The Illawarra Hawks have re-signed local junior Harry Morris as a development player for the 2023-24 NBL Season.
Morris returns for his second year as a DP, having suited up in four regular season games for his hometown Hawks in NBL23.
The long-range marksman is currently starting for the Hawks NBL1 East side, alongside fellow NBL teammate Davo Hickey.
“Harry embraced his first season in the professional ranks, and we look forward to him continuing his development with Jacob and the group”, said Hawks General Manager of Basketball Matt Campbell.
“The NBL1 season with Illawarra will provide Harry a platform to expand his game and take on greater responsibility at the offensive end.”
“Harry’s progress is a great example for local juniors and shows the pathway on offer from our local associations to the elite level.”
For Morris, the chance to return for a second season was an easy decision.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my first season and am looking forward to continuing to learn from Jacob, our coaches, and the senior players.”
“Being a part of the Hawks program was something I always aspired to as a junior and I am thrilled to have my stay extended in to a second season.
Morris joins a Hawks roster that includes Tyler Harvey, Sam Froling, Justin Robinson, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, Dan Grida, and William ‘Davo’ Hickey.
