The NBA dreams of Akoldah Gak are well and truly alive after the Hawks big man recently worked out with a number of franchises in the United States.
After an impressive Pro Day in Chicago last month, the 19-year-old was invited to workout with the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, alongside Connecticut's RJ Cole, Wichita State's Tyson Etienne, UCLA's Johnny Juzang, Seton Hall's Jared Rhoden and Purdue's Trevion Williams.
The Penrith product then had workouts with both the Milwaukee Bucks (May 31) and Chicago Bulls (June 1), ahead of the 2022 NBA Draft on June 23 in Brooklyn.
The former Blair Academy student, who's contracted with the foundation club until the end of NBL23, will remain in the United States for the foreseeable future and continue training in Texas.
Gak's NBL22 teammate Justinian Jessup is also currently in the United States, preparing for the Las Vegas Summer League with the Golden State Warriors - which will run from July 7-17 at the Thomas and Mack Centre.
