Tim Coenraad Calls Time

Illawarra Hawks veteran Tim Coenraad has called time on his illustrious NBL career.
After 14 seasons with his beloved Hawks, Saturday night's Round 18 match-up with the Tasmania JackJumpers will be his 374th and final game.
Coenraad first signed with the Hawks in 2009 and made his debut for the club in September of that season. At the time, club legend Glen Saville held down the small forward position, with Coenraad settling in as his understudy.
Fast forward to 2023, and Tim has cemented his name in Hawks history, sitting comfortably amongst the club greats and third on the club's all-time games played list.
One of the league's most consistent sharpshooters with the ability to stretch the floor like few others, Coenraad will finish his career just shy of a remarkable 40% all-time from the three-point line.
His loyalty and commitment to the club and the region have made him a fan favourite amongst the Hawks members, supporters, and corporate partners.
The WIN Entertainment Centre and club fan days are littered with #22 jerseys; on a game day, some of the loudest cheers and admiration are reserved for Coenraad.
Not only has he performed on-court for the Hawks faithful, but he has also been a constant figure in the Illawarra, more recently driving the community agenda and engagement efforts of the Hawks organisation.
Hawks GM of Basketball Mat Campbell paid tribute to Coenraad ahead of his final game.
"It's fitting that Tim will have the chance to wear the Hawks uniform one final time here at home."
"It was a pleasure to have played and worked with Tim, and more so than any other player in the last decade, he has been the heart and soul of the Hawks."
"He means an awful lot to the organisation and the Illawarra basketball community, and I would love for a full house at the Entertainment Centre on Saturday to see a Hawks win and to see him off in style."
The Hawks ownership, front office, and playing and coaching squad will celebrate Coenraad's final game in Hawks colours at Saturday night's season finale against the JackJumpers at WIN Entertainment Centre.
It's our chance to recognise Tim, his wife Nelly, and the leaders of the Coenraad22 fan club, Tyson, and Emmerson, and show our appreciation for their contribution to the Hawks.
