Its time for another episode of the Weekly Off Season Report. With pre-season training underway, lets check our how some of last seasons squad are performing around the globe in different competitions.
Marvelle Harris and Team Challenge ALS continue to do well making the way to the Semi Finals in the $2 million winner takes all tournament. In the first game this week they played against A Few Good Men (a team based mainly of players from Gonzaga University). Velle played 25 minutes scoring 7 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and picking up 2 steals.
In the second game they played against Armored Athletes and picked up another win 75-63. Another 22 minutes resulted in 9 points and 2 rebounds for Marvelle.
Luke Jamieson had one game this weekend for Mt Gambier. The side maintaining 1st place in the league with a 103-82 over the Albury Bandits. Luke played 32 minutes scoring 21 points on 9/12 shooting. He also added 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
The Stirling Senators suffered two defeats this weekend, but maintain hold on a playoff berth. In the first game against the Willetton Tigers, the Senators went down 77-85. Cody managed 10 points and 4 assists in 34 minutes.
Next up they played against the Geraldton Buccaneers, this time suffering a 97-101 defeat. Cody bounced back with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals in 37 minutes.
Over in China, and Michael Holyfield has continued to put up some big numbers.
In his first game this week, he appeared in 48 minutes picking up 29 points and grabbing 21 rebounds in a 121-130 loss to Chongqing.
Next up was unfortunately another defeat to Lhasa this time going down 97-101. This time Big Mike saw 44 minutes of court time and racked up 18 points, 28 rebounds and 2 blocks.
The third game of the week unfortunately saw another loss, suffering a 97-120 defeat to Shaanxi. 42 minutes, 21 points and 24 rebounds for Mike in this outing.
